Fees + Payment
Mensink Counseling & Consulting does not accept health insurance.
This means that services provided are not billed to health insurance and are not reimbursable. Service fees are the responsibility of the client and are charged at the beginning of the each session. Clients are required to have a debit or credit card on file. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) funds can also be used to cover therapy services.
There are some benefits to privately paying for mental health services including, but not limited to, privacy regarding diagnosis and treatment and less limitation to services that are available to you.
If you are experiencing financial hardship, an in-network provider may be more suitable for your financial needs. We do not provide superbills for insurance reimbursement.

Good Faith Estimate
The “No Surprises Act” seeks to reduce the number of surprise or unexpected medical costs accrued by clients seeking medical services. Prior to beginning therapy with us, you will receive a good faith estimate. This document reviews the estimated costs for services over the next calendar year. The good faith estimate is required by law and is not a bill.
Your provider will discuss the estimate over the phone and send you a written document to review and sign.
You will be billed at the time of the service. If the billed amount is $400 or more above the good faith estimate, you may be eligible to dispute the bill.
